FinanceCalcHub Editorial Policy
FinanceCalcHub publishes educational financial calculators, money guides and Real Money Stories designed to help readers understand common financial questions more clearly.
Our goal is to provide useful educational information while being transparent about assumptions, limitations, sources and information that has not been independently verified.
Editorial responsibility
FinanceCalcHub is responsible for the content published on this website. Content is created and maintained for educational and informational purposes.
FinanceCalcHub does not present itself as a tax firm, law firm, accounting firm, financial advisory firm, mortgage lender, payroll provider or investment advisor.
How we choose topics
We focus on practical financial questions that people commonly face, including paychecks, taxes, W-2 forms, contractor income, mortgages, debt, savings, investing and retirement planning.
Topics may come from common search questions, reader feedback, publicly discussed financial problems, calculator use cases and changes that affect how people understand financial decisions.
How Real Money Stories work
Real Money Stories are based on publicly shared financial experiences. These stories may originate from public discussions, forums or other publicly accessible sources.
A publicly shared story is not automatically treated as independently verified fact.
When an article describes what a person said happened, FinanceCalcHub uses language such as “the taxpayer said,” “according to the public account” or similar wording to distinguish the person's claims from independently confirmed facts.
FinanceCalcHub generally does not have access to the individual's private tax returns, W-2 forms, IRS account, bank records, payroll system or other private documents unless explicitly stated.
Identifying details may be omitted when they are not necessary to explain the financial issue.
Separating personal claims from official guidance
Public comments and personal experiences can help illustrate a financial problem, but they are not treated as authoritative tax, legal, financial or government guidance.
When an article explains IRS procedures, Social Security reporting, tax forms or other official processes, we aim to use relevant official sources where appropriate.
The story explains the situation. Official sources support the educational explanation of the rules, procedures or options.
Source priorities
Depending on the topic, FinanceCalcHub may use information from sources such as:
- Internal Revenue Service
- Social Security Administration
- other US federal or state government agencies
- official forms, instructions and publications
- regulatory or institutional sources
- primary-source documentation when available
Secondary sources may provide context, but important procedural or factual claims should be checked against stronger primary or official sources when practical.
Calculator content
FinanceCalcHub calculators use formulas, user inputs and simplified assumptions to provide educational estimates.
Calculator pages should explain important assumptions and limitations. Results are not guaranteed to match a tax return, paycheck, lender quote, investment result or other real-world outcome.
More information about calculator assumptions is available on the Methodology page.
Accuracy and limitations
We aim to provide useful and understandable information, but financial rules, tax procedures, interest rates, regulations and market conditions can change.
Readers should verify important information with current official sources or qualified professionals before making significant financial, tax, legal, mortgage or investment decisions.
Corrections
If we discover a material factual error, broken source, incorrect calculation or misleading explanation, we aim to review and correct the affected content.
Readers can report possible errors by emailing contact@financecalchub.com.
When reporting an issue, please include the page URL and a clear explanation of the possible error.
Updates
Content may be updated when new information becomes available, an official source changes, a calculation method is improved or a page needs clearer explanation.
